Your FREE Okei Kawaii Christmas Ornament Is Waiting

What This Is

This is a ceramic keepsake ornament done in kawaii, the Japanese style built around cute, playful character art, the same design tradition behind decades of beloved Japanese characters and gift art. This one features a bunny and a cat sharing a snowy, gift-filled Christmas scene.

What this is not: this is not a generic dollar store ornament. Okei builds every piece around a real strand of Japanese design, from the bold ink and motif work on our tees to playful kawaii pieces like this one.

A tree full of ornaments that mean nothing is easy to find. A tree with one piece that actually has a design story behind it, that is rare. This ornament is that piece.

Why Kawaii

Kawaii is Japan’s own tradition of cute, playful character design, the same design language behind some of the most recognized characters in the world. Okei explores more than one side of Japanese art: bold ink and traditional motifs on the tee line, and cute kawaii character work on pieces like this ornament.
